Grooms Speeches - How I Stunned My Wedding Guests

Hi, Jacob here. I just got married about 2 weeks ago. Now that the "dust" has settled, I want to share with one of the aspects of the preparation of the grooms speeches...hope that you will learn from it.

I understand that some groom-to-be like to be original...I have to problem with that. As for me, I am not so good in writing. So this method that I use seems to work well for me.

There is this method of fill-in-the-blanks where the skeleton is already prepared and the groom just have to fill in the blanks and the groom speech will be complete. Again, nothing wrong with that...just a matter of choice.

What I decided to use are FREE grooms speeches that can be found on the net. You can use it in anyway you like. The most unoriginal way, of course is to use it as it is with minimum alteration. I suggest you never do that. I will show you my way.

For it to be unique, these are the steps that I use.

First, I read as many as 20 of these free grooms speeches to get an idea of how my final groom wedding speech should be like. The approach is different for each of these grooms speeches. I also discarded those that did not sit well with my ideas.

Second, I make a choice of the type of grooms speech that I want to present. Looking then at the list that I have collected, I then chose the ideas that will fit on the overall thrust of my grooms speech. I tend to look for the ideas that make the speech interesting. I certainly do not want to bore my hearers to death.

Finally, I chose one of the free grooms speeches as my frame. Then I prepared my speech using this as the main course. The ideas that I collected are then added to this frame where appropriate. This ensures that the groom speech that I finally produce has a sort of originality in it.

Well, not everyone will want to go through this hassle and may prefer to use other methods. But if decide to use free grooms speeches as your base for your own wedding speech, then I believe this is probably one of the most creative way of staying original.
